It’s amazing how many very important things we take on in our lives without being equipped. At least that is the case for me. Thirty-five years ago, I was certainly ill-equipped when I said “I do” at the altar. I do “what”? My husband and I didn’t go through premarital counseling, we definitely should have. I wish I had the skills then that I do now. I didn’t know then how to bless and speak life into my husband. I didn’t know that we should pray together every day. I didn’t even know how to really pray back then, or how to take thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. Praise God for His grace that helped my husband and I to overcome our trials so that we could continue this journey of life as a married couple.
I know this to be true for me as a believer as well. Taking this journey of life as the “Bride of Christ.” I said yes, I didn’t understand what that meant at the time, but the good news is that Jesus knew. He knew I had so much to learn. He is so patient, gentle and kind, taking one step at a time with me, allowing His grace to unfold through the seasons of my life until I was ready to come away with Him to greater heights.
Have you ever felt like this? Like when you said “yes” to Christ you really didn’t understand it all? He is so good, isn’t He? I would love to hear more of your story! Please message me and share where you have felt ill-equipped in your life.
I’d love to share more with you on some concepts that will help you to arise with Christ. Concepts that will help you to live a more fulfilling life.
I hope you will join me!
There is still so much to learn, more adventure to take, more things to say yes to in life that we may not be equipped for, but that God’s grace covers!
Thank you, Jesus, for your grace, the grace that helps me to learn, to grow and to serve you Lord. The grace that brings the greatest fulfillment in my life!
Love,
