Spiritual Trauma

Have you ever felt spiritual oppression? Many people feel that in order to be a “good Christian” they must obey all the rules and live a perfect life. In many religions there are more and more rules placed upon you as man dictates his world view.

I liken this to being married to a spouse who places heavy rules upon you such as;
you must kiss me in the morning at 9am, you must wash my feet at 5pm, you
must bow to me in towards the East at sunset, and on and on the rules go. You
would eventually hate your spouse and want nothing to do with them. Praise Jesus our relationship with Him is nothing like this.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17

God loves us and gives us the freedom to love Him in return without all the
pressure of rules. As someone who has left a rule-based religion, I understand the damages that can occur in our lives Spiritually. I am going to be diving into this on Thursday in our current series, “Heal Unhealthy Love Patterns.”

Remember this, God loves you! He desires to heal you, support you, encourage
you, empower you and so much more! Life with Jesus is so very good!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in
the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
Ephesians 1:3

We also have such great hope for our future with Jesus as our Lord. Eternity with
Him is going to be amazing!

“Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he
will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into

Romans 8:11

Come join me Thursday as we reignite our love for our savior and become more
empowered to live a life filled with joy and empowerment to accomplish every God given vision in our lives.

God bless you! See you soon!
